ABEN Conference 2019

Message from Convenor: Dr Alena Golyagina

RMIT University’s School of Accounting warmly invites you to attend the 9th Annual Australasian Business Ethics Network (ABEN) Conference. The Annual ABEN Conference provides an international forum for showcasing recent work, for engaging in discussion with academics and practitioners and networking in your special interest areas.

The program will feature a panel of guest speakers from industry and academia and parallel sessions with business ethics scholars. The theme of the ABEN conference 2019 is “Business Ethics: new challenges, better theories, practical solutions”. This theme reflects the need to establish a dialogue between different stakeholders by reconceptualizing ethics theories and outlining practical solutions to new challenges.By attending this conference, you will be part of a community engaging in a dialogue about the future of business ethics.

Melbourne is a cosmopolitan hub for arts, culture, and sports. Ithas a number of world-class attractions in the central city, from the National Gallery of Victoria to the iconic Eureka Tower, Melbourne Cricket Ground and the stunning Yarra river.

The Australasian Business Ethics Network (ABEN) was founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2010 – by Jan Schapper, Campbell Jones and Michelle Greenwood. We are a community of scholars and practitioners from a range of institutions across Australia, New Zealand and Oceania. We share a passion for developing and extending the Australasian business ethics agenda. We recognise the uniqueness of the Australasian approach, experience and contribution to the field of business ethics.
